“Hello!” that simple greeting surprised Sungmin out of his wits. No one, as in no one except for Kyuhyun and Changmin greeted him like that. He didn’t know how to respond, thinking that it must be a joke, a trap or something. “Hey, I know what you’re thinking. Don’ be scared, I’m here to be friends with you”
Did he hear that right? Someone wants to befriend him. It was like a one in a million chance since no one really likes him. Staring at the guy was what he could only do. “I’m Siwon, Choi Siwon” he nodded, taking Siwon’s extended hand and shook it.
“Uhm, I’m Su—“
“Lee Sungmin, I know” he chuckled. “Don’t you think it’s funny? I mean, we’ve been classmates for how many years already and we formally introduce ourselves just now” Sungmin let out a faint smile and shifted uncomfortably on his seat. The glares, snickers and whispers in every part of the room weren’t making him feel any better.
“Why?” was the only thing he could manage to ask.
Siwon shrugged, “I’ve been wanting to be your friend since like ever but I just didn’t get the chance to”
“I don’t think you would want to be friends with someone like me”
“Why not?”
“I’m a loser,”
“Nonsense! You’re not, you’re the kindest and prettiest person I’ve met” this was enough to make Sungmin blush. No, this was wrong. He wasn’t supposed to blush. His blushes are only for Kyuhyun, not someone else’s. Only Kyuhyun has the right to make him feel that way. “Are you okay?” Siwon’s voice snapped him out of his trance. “Are you sick? Your face is red”
“Oh, no uhm..I’m okay”
“Alright then, would you mind if I sit beside you from now on?”
“Go ahead, it’s okay”
That conversation was pretty much the start of their good relationship as friends. Sungmin still couldn’t get how and why it happened but that wasn’t important. All that matters is that he has someone else to talk to, hang out with, and trust other than his lover and Changmin.
“Sungmin ah, can I have lunch with you?” he didn’t know whether to agree or not, he was supposed to have lunch with Kyuhyun at their place.
He was about to reject him when he noticed his hopeful eyes. He sighed, “Alright,” a smile formed Siwon’s lips as he hugged Sungmin due to severe happiness. Sungmin was taken aback by his new friend’s action. Not knowing how else to respond, he just hugged him back not noticing everyone looking at them.

As soon as the bell rang signaling that it was lunch time, Siwon grabbed Sungmin’s wrist and dragged him to the cafeteria. They were on their way when Sungmin’s phone rang. ‘Minnie baby..’ Kyuhyun’s voice greeted him. He cleared his throat and glanced at Siwon before answering.
“Oh, hi”
‘Hi? Aren’t you supposed to go up here? I’ve been waiting for you for like five minutes now babe’
“Listen, uhm..I can’t eat with you today I’m sorry. I’ll make it up to you later okay?”
He heard Kyuhyun sigh and he felt bad, really bad. He didn’t want to disappoint him but what can he do? ‘Fine, I’ll just eat alone’
“Hey, don’t be like that. I promise I’ll do whatever you want later, alright?”
‘Anything?’
“Yes, anything”
‘Deal! Alright baby, bye. I love you!’
“Same here, bye”
“Who was that?” Siwon asked as soon as he flipped his phone close.
“Oh, it’s just..someone” Siwon nodded although he was really curious as to who Sungmin was talking to.

“Same here?” he stared at his phone incredulously. Sungmin never does that. He usually replies ‘I love you too’ or ‘I love you more’ but ‘Same here’? It was just unbelievable.
“What’s your problem lover boy?”
“Huh? Oh nothing, just something”
Changmin looked at him with raised eye brows. “..okay? Where’s Sungmin?”
“He said he can’t come,”
“Aww, that’s sad. Come on; let’s go to the cafeteria then. My lovely boy is waiting for me”
“Shut up you lovesick fool!”
“Were you referring to yourself?” Kyuhyun stomped his foot and walked away leaving a chuckling Changmin. “Oh boy he’s PMS-ing”
