My Boss, My Lover → Three

Summary: Kim Yesung, a cold-hearted business man, doesn’t know what love is until he meets his secretary, Kim Ryeowook. The love-hate relationship blossoms between the two but how long can they keep their relationship from the public and from Yesung’s wife?

a/n; it's really been a while, wow. sorry for taking a long time to update. i considered dropping off this fic but YeWook's too precious for me to do that.

He stood in front of the big door, fidgety. Yesung asked for a cup of coffee, he made one but he has no idea if his coffee will pass Yesung's standards. "What is this?!" he jumped in surprise when Yesung almost spat out the beverage. "Who makes a coffee this bitter? Didn't I tell you to put three sugar cubes?"
"No, sir, you didn't tell me anything." he wanted to say, but to afraid to do it so he kept quiet and let Yesung scold him.
"Do me a favor and don't ever make coffee for me again, got it?" Ryeowook nodded just for the heck of it, he doesn't really care anyway. This is why he hates bosses. They're too arrogant to be tolerated. But he's gonna keep his cool, he doesn't want to disappoint Heechul.
"I heard the man shouting, what ha--"
"Bitter coffee."
"Oh. Oh. OH!"
"This might be too demanding but can you be his coffee maker next time?" he asked Zhou Mi with hopeful eyes.
The Chinese man smiled. "I don't mind, but I'm not really good at that, I'll ask Yonghwa if you want. He makes coffee for everyone." Ryeowook nodded, smiling gratefully muttering a 'Thanks'.
The moment he stepped foot in his house, the telephone rang. "Wow, psychic." he muttered, reaching out the couch for the phone. "Hello?"
'Wookie, honey, how was it?' apparently, it was none other than Heechul himself.
"It was great, he's a nice man." he knew lying would be the best thing to do. The last thing he would want to do is ruin Heechul's dream to be with his boyfriend just because his too-temperamental-of-a-boss boss is a son of a gun who think he's all that when in reality, he has no dash of awesomeness in him.
'You're not lying, are you?'
"I have no reason to lie."
'Hmm..good. I just wanted to check-up on you and apparently, you're more than okay so I guess I don't have to call you often.'
Ryeowook nodded although he knew Heechul wouldn't see him. "That's a brilliant idea. I'll hang up now, okay? I love you, bye!" and he really did hang up. The more time he gets to talk to Heechul, more lies will be made up. And he doesn't want that to happen. "Now what to do..ah, yes. That darn business trip."
It's only his first day but he was already asked to book two plane tickets to Sapporo for the day after tomorrow. Stupid as it may seem, he doesn't know how to book flights. He's a chef, for goodness' sake! Chefs do not book flights, jot down things and arrange schedules.
"Fuck my life."
It turned out that the tickets he booked, much to his annoyance, were for him and Yesung. Being in the same room as his boss is bad enough, what more if they spend a day or two more in an unfamiliar place, all by themselves? That's just fucking messed up.
"Aww, I'm sure you'll do fine." Zhou Mi told him when they were having coffee break. "I've never been on a business trip with him but according to Heechul hyung, it's quite fun."
"Quite."
"Well, yeah, but at least it still is."
When break ended, Ryeowook hurried back to Yesung's office. There he found him on the phone with someone, and he seemed somewhat annoyed. "I told you, I won't be eating at home." Yesung glanced at Ryeowook and found him watching him. He furrowed his eyebrows a bit before shifting his attention back the phone. "Seriously, you're getting on my nerves. Goodbye." and he shut his phone close.
Getting caught staring at Yesung by the guy himself is more than embarrassing. He's not interested with his boss, really. He's just curious at things, and apparently, Yesung talking on the phone is one of those. "Uhh.." he stuttered. "..s-sir.. There's someone named Lee Sungmin looking for you, sir."
Yesung nodded, looking down at his documents, scanning before signing them. "Let him in.":
The boss stopped working and returned the other boy's hug, a smile gracing his lips. It was quite miraculous for Ryeowook, he had no idea Yesung is capable of conveying such emotion. He watched silently, hoping that none of the two would think he's being nosy. "I missed you too, pumpkin. I'm glad you came by."
'He's not bad.' Ryeowook commented mentally, slightly admiring the Sungmin guy. A few moments after, he could feel boredom slowly creeping through him. He wondered who Sungmin was, Yesung's friend, brother or..wife? But he definitely isn't a girl so wife is crossed out from the list. "What if he's his boyfriend and his wife doesn't know about it?" he thought to himself.
Seriously, he should stop being nosy and mind his own business. Embarrassing enough as it is, he found himself asking Zhou Mi his question. He just won't give up, huh?
"I don't know why you're too curious about them but I really can't say anything about Sungmin ssi. if anyone hears us talking about him, we're in deep trouble."
In the end, Ryeowook just settled with Yesung and Sungmin's relationship a mystery.
Zhou Mi had been his closest (only) friend at work so he's really, really thankful for the guy for hanging out with him when his other co-workers don't seem to like him. But that wasn't really important. "Excuse me.." he looked up from his computer and saw a lovely young lady.
"Yes, how may I help you?"
"You're new here, aren't you?" he nodded, although confused with the sudden question. The lady chuckles. "That explains why you don't know me. Anyway, I'm Kim Soeun, your boss' wife. Is he here?"
"Oh." he was stunned for a moment but managed to pull himself back together. "I'm sorry," he bowed. "I didn't know."
"It's alright, don't worry."
"Ah, Yesung-nim, he's here but please let me check if he's not that busy." he looked at Soeun sympathetically. "You're his wife so you have every right to be in his office but I'm pretty sure you know how he is so I can't let anyone in without his permission."
A smile decorated Soeun's lips as she shook her head. "Please, don't apologize. I know how he does things so go ahead and check up on him for me."
"Will do, Soeun ssi. I'll be right back." and when he told Yesung about his wife, all the grumpy man told him was tell Soeun to go back home and not disturb him. As much as he hated to be rude, he had to pass the message to his lovely wife. "I'm really sorry, Soeun ssi, I can't do anything about it."
Soeun, for obvious reasons, found Ryeowook too cute and adorable. "You apologize too much..uhm.."
"Oh, Ryeowook. Kim Ryeowook."
"Yes, great. Ryeowook. Hmm..I have to get going now. Please tell Yesung I'll be waiting for him at home. See you!"
Ryeowook nodded, still feeling bad for the wife. "S-see you soon." He swears he would have to cut Yesung's throat off soon. "Forgive me, dear Lord."
His fists formed a ball and he could just not take the frustration anymore. "Yesung-nim," the said person didn't look up from his laptop. "With all due respect, are you stupid?"
That certainly caught Yesung's attention as he shut his laptop close. "What did you say?"
"I asked if you are stupid. Because if not, I'm telling you, you're acting like one. Shooing your wife like that?" he scoffed. "Unbelievable."
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me, I don't like repeating things. If you weren't able to catch it, it's your problem."
"And Heechul said you're amazing? I wonder how much you paid him to say that."
A chuckle escaped the secretary's mouth. "Oh, please. If you only know how much Heechul begged me to do this for him."
"What is wrong with you?" Yesung's already small eyes formed into slits. "Let me remind you, I'm your boss, I can fire you anytime I want."
"Then do it." Ryeowook doesn't feel the least bit threatened.
Without hesitation whatsoever, "You're fired!"
"Gladly." he bowed one last time before making his way out the office, not before saying, "Please do me a favor and change that sick attitude of yours. No wonder no one likes you." Well, he's not really sure if no one, other than him, hates Yesung's guts, he just had to say it. "And oh," he added, "Soeun ssi said she'll be waiting for you at home."
That left Yesung speechless..and furious.

a/n; reading too much YeWook inspired me to continue this..this thing. lol this chapter doesn't have much happenings but it'll get there, like really. the fight wasn't as intense as i imagined it to be, but it'll do. yeah yeah, i know putting Soeun as the wife is pretty random. lol just ignore me please. tell me what you think! comments are absolutely appreciated! ^^
