..but in life, every ending is just a new beginning.
One year.
It took them months to get comfortable with each other, a year to create beautiful memories, and only a day to part ways.
It’s not that they won’t get to see each other again, oh they definitely would. But would it still be the same? Is one year enough to make their relationship stable?
Would she still call him ‘Yong oppa’ as naturally as she used to? Would she hang out with him again when she has a chance to? Would she greet him on his birthday?
Although unseen by many, her tears, her silent tears sum up her feelings about this whole thing. The tears she held throughout the whole filming to prevent herself from getting too emotional. He, as obvious as it can be, didn’t want to let go. He didn’t want it to end. It was a nightmare turned reality.
He did as much as he could to delay their separation, but time wasn’t on his side. It’s just bound to happen, sadly. But no, they shouldn’t be sad. This isn’t the end, it’s clearly not.
Would she still call him ‘Yong oppa’ as naturally as she used to? Of course. It has been her most used word over the past year, and she won’t probably get tired of saying it for the next ten years or so.
Would she hang out with him again when she has a chance to? Definitely, she knows he’s just a call away.
Would she greet him on his birthday? Absolutely. They even shared a promise to celebrate their birthdays together, just like the last time.
Even if the show’s over, their relationship isn’t. Things would be just the same, no awkwardness, no pressure, no embarrassment, just them, together. A year, with everything they’ve been through, is more than enough to keep their relationship as steady as it can be. A relationship that doesn’t need a label, only a mutual understanding between the two parties involved.
