all the love in the world
title: all the love in the world
pairing: yoochun/junsu
genre: romance
rating: pg13
length: oneshot
summary: Yoochun knows what it's like to love with no boundaries.
Yoochun is in love.
Yoochun is in love with Junsu.
Junsu is special.
Junsu, too, is in love with Yoochun.
They had their cliché meeting in highschool wherein Junsu was bullied and Yoochun saves the day. Thus, he felt the need to protect him. Junsu, however, is quite different. To say it bluntly, he’s mentally incapable. He’s special, a child at heart, mind and soul. And Yoochun just loves everything about him.
For a twenty-one year old guy, Junsu has a mind like that of a seven year-old and Yoochun isn’t the least bit bothered about it. But he later found out the cause of Junsu’s condition. Apparently, the boy was involved in a car accident a couple of years ago which earned his older brother’s life. He had multiple head injuries and was in a coma for almost five months but fortunately, he woke up although he was far from being okay, hence, his current state.
“Yoochunnie hyung, I’m hungry!” the said man looks up from his book and sees his little ball of sunshine whining, the toy car he’s formerly playing with, completely abandoned.
He pats the space beside him on the couch, gesturing the other to claim the spot. Junsu complies, not-so-enthusiastically at that. The boy is hungry, what does he expect? “What do you like to eat?” Junsu grins, and that grin only meant one thing. “No cakes for you, mister. You need to eat something decent before desert.”
“But cakes are decent!”
Yoochun doesn’t feel the need to argue about it. There’s no chance he’ll win anyway. Junsu is just too persistent and forceful for his liking. And so he takes him to his favorite cake shop, the one his best friend owns, his best friend who never liked nor hated Junsu.
“You’re here…with him.” Jaejoong points manically, he just doesn’t like the fact that they’re together. The obvious fact isn’t unknown to Yoochun though. He knows too well how his best friend feels about his relationship with his lover but he just couldn’t do anything about it.
“Is that how you greet your best friend?” Junsu, however, doesn’t notice things. He has no idea about people who dislikes him, except for those who bullied him back then. The mean kids, as what he would call them. “C’mon! Junsu here is excited to come and you’re not even bothering to welcome us?” Yoochun tries to lighten up the tension building up between them.
Half-heartedly, Jaejoong walks up to them, giving them both a hug, much to his dislike. “The usual?” He asks, referring to Junsu. Yoochun nods, praising him for a job well done. Their once intertwined fingers are forcedly detached when a boy of fifteen years runs towards their direction, bumping onto Jaejoong in the process, who silently curses at how ill-mannered the boy is.
“Watch it, Changmin!” Yoochun exclaims, trying to pull the boy away from his boyfriend. “You’re hurting him!” he announces as he notices Junsu’s face gradually lose color from the tight hug. Changmin, with much energy, gives Junsu one more squeeze before letting go.
“Can I have some time with Junsu hyung, please?” the teenager asks rather eagerly as he clutches onto Yoochun’s shirt sleeve for dear life. It’s not like Yoochun could say no so he agrees.
-
“Still don’t like him?”
“It’s not that I don’t, okay? It’s just that,” Jaejoong sighs, taking Yoochun’s hand into his. “I’m your friend, I just don’t like seeing you suffer. Junsu’s a burden, you know that. Don’t you get tired of taking care of him? You’re still young. You don’t have to stress yourself by taking care of an immature guy.”
His words seem to strike a nerve from Yoochun as he pries the other’s hand off his, saying in a menacing tone, “Don’t you dare speak about Junsu like that ever again! If you’re my friend, like what you claim yourself to be, you’ll understand us. Junsu is not, and will never be a burden to me. Now, if you still can’t accept our relationship, then that’s your problem.”
He walks away, not wanting to deal with a mess and a bitch that is Jaejoong. He meets a panicky Changmin on his way out the office. “He ran away!”
He stops, and stares. “What?”
“Junsu hyung! He ran away! He wanted to give you something so I accompanied him to the office and we heard your conversation with Jaejoong hyung. He was crying and…and he said you hate him. I tried to run after him but he was too fast.”
Strike two for Jaejoong. One more strike and he’s out. Out of Yoochun’s life.
“Thanks kid.” is all he is able to say as he runs out the café to look for his boyfriend. It isn’t the first time the other had gone missing, and boy was it so traumatic.
It was approximately a year ago when Junsu was down with a fever so he had to leave him for a while to go and buy medicine. It definitely surprised him to see their house empty and before he knew it, he was running out, shouting Junsu’s name over and over. After that incident, he vowed to never leave him again, ever.
Flashbacks of the past come flooding his mind and it scares him.
Truth be told, Yoochun has no idea where to start. He could always start at home though, but that would be a stupid choice. If anything, he so wants to force Jaejoong to do all the work, to search for his lost boyfriend but Jaejoong would most likely just let Junsu rot somewhere out there.
Yoochun doesn’t tell Junsu’s parents about it. No, he couldn’t. They would freak out and all hell will break loose. He settles for telling Yunho, Junsu’s cousin. “Well, I know where he is but it’s supposed to be a secret. Until he’s ready to face you, I’m sorry but you can’t get anything from me.”
“Wait, what? I haven’t done anything wrong!” he protests, tugging the older Yang’s sleeve.
“I know, but Junsu doesn’t want to see anyone right now. I’m sorry.”
Yoochun could just only watch Yunho’s retreating back in despair.
-
Life is so unfair, he thinks. For one, there’s absolutely nothing wrong he’s done to anger Junsu so why is it that he doesn’t wanna see him? It sounds fishy as it is. But really, what could be the reason?
He doesn’t give up though. He would stalk Yunho and keep watch in front of his house for a sign of Junsu, but he hasn’t been successful. Not even once. And so he opts for the last resort.
He barges in Jaejoong’s coffee shop only to be pounced on by a frantic Changmin. “Hey kid,” he greets, trying to detach the boy clinging onto him for dear life.
“I saw him!”
“Who?”
“Junsu hyung! I saw him!”
Changmin usually doesn’t make sense but he tries to believe him this time. “What, where?!”
And Changmin leads him to Yunho’s house.
“He’s in there hyung! I saw him! I really, really saw him!”
Although it was a struggle, Yoochun still manages to calm the panicking boy down. “Yes you did, Changmin. But we just can’t barge in and get your Junsu hyung.”
“But hyung—“
“Just leave this to me okay? I’ll make sure to bring him home.”
“Promise?”
“You know I don’t break promises, kid. Now run along.”
-
When Yunho sees him one afternoon, he doesn’t run away. He approaches him and gets straight to the point. “Junsu...where is he?”
“You know my answer,”
“Why can’t you tell me what’s wrong? I haven’t done anything to anger him. Why? Why are you keeping him away from me?” his previous calm tone is getting stern by the minute.
“We are not keeping him away from you, Yoochu. We are not.”
“Bullcrap! Look,” he sighs, trying to calm himself down. It isn’t the best time to be cranky and stuff. “It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what you’re trying to do. If you must know, I have every right to see him.”
“Well then, he has every right to not see you.”
Yoochun leaves.
-
“I do not want to talk to you right now.” Yoochun says when he sees Jaejoong at his doorstep. Before he could even slam the door on his face, the paler male manages to slip in, much to his annoyance.
Jaejoong witnesses it, the horror— the dark circles on his puffy eyes, hollow cheeks and slightly hoarse voice. Yoochun is anything but alright. “Changmin told me.”
Yoochun rolls his eyes. “I’m sure he did. If you came here to apologize, then it would be best if you leave, right now.”
But Jaejoong doesn’t even budge, and instead, he smiles softly and puts a hand on Yoochun’s shoulder, squeezing it in a comforting manner. “I’m here to help you, actually.”
“Like you’ll actually do that. You don’t like Junsu, remember?”
“Well, yeah, and I still don’t like him. But that doesn’t mean I won’t help you. I’m still your friend, no matter how many times you try to push me away. I just don’t click with Junsu, that’s all. But really, I don’t mean any harm.”
Although still pissed off at the other, he accepts the help. He desperately needs it anyway. For Junsu’s sake, he forgets the issue he has with him and talks to him civilly. “Hmm…we can’t actually look for him if you don’t have any particular place in mind. We’ll just be going around in circles. Do you have a sort of a special place or something? Hey, didn’t you once tell me about the tree you planted with him somewhere? I do—“
“Of course,” he runs out even before he finishes what he wanted to say. “Why didn’t I think of this sooner? Stupid.” he is frantic. Not even thinking about getting a cab, he sprints towards the first block, turning in the next and sees a small figure curled up on a bench beside that very familiar oak tree. “Junsu…”
The said man looks up at him, scared.
“No, no, no, no, no Junsu ah, please don’t be scared. It’s me.” he takes small steps to the younger boy but before he could come any closer, the other stands up and runs away. Fortunately for Yoochun, his speed isn’t something to be underestimated. He catches up with him in no time, he envelopes him in a bone-crushing hug. “I missed you.”
Junsu squirms but he doesn’t let go. He holds him tighter.
“Please let go of me, hyung.”
For the first time in three days, he hears Junsu’s voice again and he couldn’t be any happier. He doesn’t let go still as he places a kiss atop Junsu’s head. “Whatever you heard, it’s not true. I don’t hate you. I would never hate you. You have to remember that.”
“But—“
Yoochun shuts him up with a kiss.
Later that day, both guys are on their bed, naked bodies pressed together, limbs tangled, thighs glistening with sweat as Yoochun whispers sweet nothings in Junsu's ear.
