a/n: this was written for a friend which is originally khunder. and by khunder, i mean khun and alexander. i found it weird so I changed it to kihae.
His life was perfect, so perfect that it seems surreal. He has a stable job as a novelist, supportive family and friends, and most of all, a loving boyfriend. What more can he ask for? Sometimes, he couldn’t help but wonder what he has done in his past life to deserve someone as precious as Kibum, his lover.
He’s a spoiled brat, he has severe mood swings, he’s not the perfect son, and he’s not the friendliest person. His relationship with Kibum was really unexpected considering that they really weren’t the closest of friends. They weren’t friends, they weren’t enemies either. They were just mere acquaintances that converse every chance they get.
Kibum was a kingka while he’s just an average Joe. Kibum was the perfect student while he wasn’t. Everyone admired Kibum while everyone hated him for being a ‘diva’ when he’s not in the position to act like one. They were the exact opposite that he knew they won’t click no matter how much they try to.
It was Kibum who first showed interest in him which he totally ignored thinking it was all a big joke but it wasn’t, really. No matter how much Kibum tried to prove to him how serious he was, he just wouldn’t believe him. He’s dense and stubborn like that. So basically, they had the typical stupid-and-ridiculous-forbidden-high-school-love-just-because-the-other-was-popular-and-he-wasn’t love story.
But still, one question keeps bothering him..why? Of all people, why him? He’s not a pretty boy, there’s nothing too special about him, and he’s just a plain and normal guy (with a weird sense of humor). So, why him?
“I know what you’re thinking about,” a voice interrupted his thoughts and he felt a pair of arms wrap around his neck. He didn’t need to think to find out who that was. It was all too obvious. “You’re just thinking too much babe”
“I’m not,” he denied.
“Right, you’re not”
A pout formed his lips as he detached himself from his chuckling lover. “Fine, I am. I just couldn’t help it alright!”
“And now you admit it?” his raised an eye brow. “Alright, come here babe” Kibum settled him on his lap, encircling his arms around his waist and resting his chin on his right shoulder. “Mr. Lee Donghae, we’ve been together for five years and you still doubt if you’re meant for me? If we weren’t for each other, do you think we would last this long?”
Donghae shrugged. “I don’t know, you tell me”
“Then let me tell you something,”
“Alright, I’m all ears”
“Did you know that you are a gift from heaven, you are my treasure. I'm a fool that knows nothing but you. You are my Guardian Angel. I can't live without you. I will never leave you. I want you in my life, I need you in my life. When you at me, when you smile at me, my heart just stops. You are fresh like a vitamin when I'm tired. You are like mom's embrace when I'm sick. You’re my love, my life. Without you I would be nothing. You’re everything to me. I don’t see myself living a life without you by my side. I would die without you. I love you too much Donghae, I really do”
Donghae had to smile at that. “I know, I love you too. But Bummie ah..” Kibum responded with a moan. “..that was really mushy. By any chance, are you a humongous block of cheese disguised as my boyfriend?”
“I may be am, but I know you like it”
“I do, I didn’t say I don’t” Donghae snuggled closer, enjoying Kibum’s warmth. “And Bummie ah..”
“Hmm?”
“You missed a few lines from the song” he chuckled at his blushing lover.
