Taemin looks down at the piece of paper in his hand, crumples it and throws it on the ground. It was a love letter alright. Jinki has at least more than half a dozen of letters received everyday and Taemin is not pleased.
“You’re getting jealous over nothing. It’s annoying.”
“Oh yeah? Attention whore.” he spits back.
“Jealous bitch.”
Taemin gasps, unable to hide the shock on his face. “Did you just call me a bitch?!” he gives Jinki a hard slap on the face and walks out.

“Friday night?”
“Friday night? What’s up?”
“Our date. I’ll see you at the cinema at seven.”
“Hmm…alright.”
“Cool. I love you, Taemin.”
“I love you too.”
Taemin glances at his wrist watch. Eight fucking thirty o’clock.
He waits, waits…and waits until his patience runs thin. Although it never really does.
Four hours after, he decides he’s waited long enough. He sighs, stands up, and leaves the cinema.

“Jinki!” he calls out for the guy across the road, flailing his arms wildly for the other to notice him. Jinki sees him, but doesn’t wave back. “Jinki!” he calls him one more time as he watches him cross the road.
“What were you doing?” was Jinki’s greeting. “That was embarrassing! People would think you’re a retard and I don’t hang out with retarded people like you.”
Taemin walks out even before Jinki could insult him further.

Taemin smiles, clutching the bento box tightly as he waddles in the hallway. “Jinki ah!”
Said man smiles and takes him into his arms. “’Sup?”
“Here,” Taemin pushes the box into his chest. “I made lunch for you.”
“Are you kidding me?” Jinki laughs as he stares at the contents and Taemin could only gape at him in disbelief. “You call this a bento? Taemin, if I didn’t know any better, I thought this was poop. Man, you really suck at this.” he throws the box in the nearest bin, still laughing. “I would never eat that crap, Taemin.”
Taemin stays frozen on his spot, humiliated.

“I see you’re always crying.” Taemin looks up to see a doe-eyed tall person looking straight back at him. He wipes his tears. “Here,” the stranger offers him a handkerchief in which he accepts to show politeness. “I’m Minho, and you are?”
“Taemin,” he answers with a very small voice. All the crying has drained up almost all his energy, almost. “Are you…my stalker?” he asks innocently later on.
Minho laughs, shaking his head. “No...just a concerned citizen. Tell me, what have you done to him to deserve such treatment?”
“I…I don’t know. I’ve been nothing but good to him.”
“So I see he’s a bastard.”
“Well, yeah…sort of. But I love him.”
“Of course you do.” Minho chuckles. “But you have to learn when enough is enough. An abusive relationship is not healthy. Take your time and think. Is this what you want? Is Jinki who you really love?”
Taemin frowns, confusion written all over his face. “Who are you, really?”
“Just someone who cares.” Minho ruffles Taemin’s hair and bids goodbye. “I’ll see you when I see you, ‘kay? But be sure when that happens, you’re not a crying mess anymore.” And Taemin laughs for the first time that day.
A few days later, Jinki was seen in the men’s comfort room, crying.
“Dude, what is up with you?” asks his friend, Minho.
The bastard harshly wipes his tears with the back of his hand. “Taemin broke up with me. I don’t get it! He said he still loves me.”
Minho holds back his smile as he gives Jinki a comforting pat on the back. “It’s alright. Shit happens.”
